I was craving a cookie with some serious personality. I’m kind of a cookie snob, those plastic packages at the super market don’t do a lot to make me crave them much. I find their taste, in general, to be lacking the same omph I can get from my own mixer (there are a few Trader Joe varieties that are an exception). Our (hopefully) last snowy day of the winter made me want to make these cookies, substantial and SO good! You can trust a cookie recipe I give you! You can also alter this recipe by swapping out the chocolate morsels and nuts for your favorites…walnuts for pecans, or white chocolate for toffee. You will have to do some hand-mixing at the end to get the chips and nuts incorporated all the way through but these cookies are worth the extra work! 🙂
Want to make some yummy cookies?!! 🙂
Jumble Cookies (when you’re craving a cookie with personality!)
1/2 cup butter (room temp)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup mini semisweet chocolate pieces
3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
3/4 cup slivered or sliced almonds
minutes or until edges are light brown, you don’t want to over bake these! Makes 30ish cookies. 🙂
